This is my new found favourite restaurant in SS2. It is right opposite Mon Liza wedding gallary, the shop row nearest to the SS2's famous 'durian' place.
I had lunch there several years ago when I took my wedding photos at Mon Liza. It appeared to me as pricey at time... but most probably because we had ordered the beef barbeque. And it didn't leave much impression on me.
In recent discovery through my colleagues, they offers set lunch and set dinner on weekdays. It's a real pleasant surprise. The set lunch only costs RM9.90 - a main dish either noodles, kimchi fried rice, or pork/ chicken/ beef/ octopus cooked with cabbage served with steamed rice, with 8 different side dishes, a cup of tea, a bowl of soup and ginger tea as dessert.
Most of all, their service is friendly and warm. Since the couple owners are Koreans (my safe assumption as they were spotted at the casher counter and ordering stuff around), I was immediately assured with some sense of Korea authenticity.
The first time I had lunch with another 3 colleagues of mine, they served side dishes separately, and allowed us to refill. We refilled some of them 3 times! Ah! It's embarrassing to tell such big eaters we are.
The second time (actually the second day :D), the same meal was ordered but was served in a bento box with individual side dishes. I was thinking probably the waitress recognised me, as such a big eater, hence the bento.
I don't think we could ask for a refill, however, the portion was quite a lot, my colleague could not even finish hers.
Definitely a very satisfying lunch (with that price).
So I'm definitely going back for more. :-)
Found some reviews from others on the restaurant too. With many photos here.
